What are your opinions on sweater vest?

I'm debating if i should buy a sweater vest, but i'm not sure if it's a little gay, for a lack a better word. I'm trying to class up my clothes a bit. I'm 23 years old, if that matters at all.

hmm...im going to have to say it depends a lot on what you look like....O_O i know that prob sounds shallow or something...but ya sweater vests only look good on a few people lol. in what ways are you trying to class it up? if you are thinking like businessy then maybe ya that'd work, but if you are thinking new look i would recomend shopping around at like pacsun and maybe the buckle..places like that. try a scarf? it really all depends on your...scene so to speak..
